How We Got Here

The North Shore Origin Story

It started the way most good things do — around a kitchen table, ripping packs and talking about how there was no real card shop left on the island that treated collectors with respect.

Nassau County is home to hundreds of thousands of TCG players. Weekend tournaments, school lunch trades, family hobby nights — cards are woven into the fabric of Long Island life. But finding a dedicated shop with real inventory, knowledgeable staff, and a community vibe? That was harder than pulling a Rainbow Rare.

So we built it. North Shore Trading Co. opened on Willis Ave in Albertson with a clear mission: stock what players actually need, price fairly, buy collections honestly, and run events that bring the community together.

We're constantly restocking singles, bringing in new sealed product every week, and running live break events both in-store and on stream. This is just the beginning.

2022 — The Beginning

North Shore Trading Co. Opens Its Doors

We opened at 1042 Willis Ave, Albertson with our founding inventory of Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and MTG singles and sealed product.

2022 — First Events

Weekly Break Events Launch

Our first live break events sell out instantly. We begin streaming on Whatnot and YouTube, bringing the North Shore community together online and in-store.

2023 — Growth

Singles Database Grows to 10K+

Collectors start coming from all over Long Island for our singles selection. We add a dedicated display case for graded PSA and CGC cards.

2025 — Community

Expanding the Event Calendar

Multiple break formats every week. New arrival drops promoted in advance. A card shop that feels like home for Long Island's TCG community.
